This collection explores traces and evidence of human survival within architecture through the lens of Hong Kong’s Kowloon Walled City, examining how structures in this ungoverned district emerged from constraint. 

The Paper Bag Princess collection reimagines Princess Elizabeth’s tale as a fashion narrative of resilience, subverting traditional beauty through garments that unravel material wealth. Challenging the association between femininity and materialism, this project uses the paper bag as a symbol of strength born from simplicity. By distorting garment structures and mismatching details, each look captures the fragility of paper and the process of disintegration, while the deconstruction of gowns reveals an empowered identity beneath collapse.

A look developed from my project “Creative Depletion”, a collection inspired by the fear of creative depletion that many designers experience in the face of constant innovation and competition. With the help of Clo3D, the collection challenges conventional ideas of originality and explores how even the smallest or most chaotic elements can lead to innovative outcomes, turning fear into a source of inspiration.

A blazer that could be zipped from sideways, with the inner side completely lined with silk, the sleeves and the bottom part of the blazer could be flipped and tied in various variations, creating layers and depth.

Made an additional flip boned dress to complement the blazer, the dress contains with asymmetrical boning and a separate spandex + rayon pleated skirt underneath to replicate the layerings in the blazer.

“Our hands first found their voice from school's first lesson, yet we seem to forget the power they hold now.” Inspired by the hand-raising gesture, this project aims to reignite the awareness of the power our hands hold and encourage individuals to reclaim their voices in a world where they are often forgotten

Aiming to cast away the misconceptions associated with the so-called 'model minority,' by juxtaposing the stereotypical image of Chinatown with contemporary architecture in Hong Kong, using architectural forms and lines to challenge social wedges and highlight the struggles and resilience of the Chinese-Americans community.

Look 1 from my collection “THE NORM” where I created exaggerated garments with mesh fabrics to challenge societal expectations of dressing conventionally. By naming the collection “THE NORM”, I urge to highlight the irony of society's insistence on normalcy, finding the significance of redefining what normal is.
